The former Presidential candidate Senator David Norris has launched a scathing attack on "Enda bloody Kenny" for trying to abolish the Seanad.
Senator Norris checked himself out of a Dublin hospital this morning where he has been after being diagnosed with cancer in order to declare he would fight against the abolition of the Seanad.
And he told those in the upper chamber that anyone who supported the plans to scrap the Seanad is a "liar, thief and traitor to the Irish people".
He rounded on the Taoiseach for what he called the "blatant dishonesty" and for wanting to "create jobs for the boys" in the Dáil.
And he challenged Enda Kenny to a live TV debate on the Seanad saying "I will peel the layers of dishonesty away from him".
