Newstalk continues to grow listenership as over 700,000 listen weekly

According to the latest JNLR results released today, Newstalk now reaches 402,000 listeners daily and 707,000 listeners weekly.

Three of the stations flagship shows have achieved their highest ever listenership figures with the station increasing its market share to 6.6%, from 6.3% a year ago.

Additional highlights from the latest JNLR results include:

  • Newstalk Breakfast, hosted by Ivan Yates and Chris Donoghue, has increased to 178,000 listeners daily, their highest to date and an increase of 25,000 listeners year on year
  • The Right Hook with George Hook has the highest ever reach of 148,000 daily listeners, an increase of 35,000 listeners year on year
  • The Pat Kenny Show remains solid with 134,000 people tuning in every day
  • Moncrieff with Sean Moncrieff has a daily listenership of 120,000, an increase of 6,000 year on year
  • Bobby Kerr has crossed the 100,000 listeners for the first time

Commenting on the latest JNLR figures, Garrett Harte, Newstalk Editor-in-Chief said: "Newstalk continues to perform across the seven day schedule particularly with the performance of Ivan Yates, Chris Donoghue and George Hook in our drivetime shows.
