The New York Post have come under fire for the headline on the front page of their print edition today.
Former spokesperson for Subway, Jared Fogle, is in court on charges of possessing and distributing child pornography, as well as having sex with minors, and faces over 12 years in jail as a result.
He is expected to plead guilty in proceedings that take place later today, and in covering the story the New York Post have courted plenty of controversy with their headline.

Many social media users have since chimed in to criticise the paper for using a headline that appears to make light of the situation, and also references sexual assault.
Woke up to this at my door. Only the New York Post. pic.twitter.com/OTBHYkjfvF

@nypost not only a rape joke, but a painfully hacky, unoriginal rape joke. "People get raped in jail lol" - you. https://t.co/uiaXOk98UQ

Not going to bat for Jared Fogle, but can prison rape stop being a punchline, @nypost? http://t.co/ge9IXFqd19
