Weekly magazine the New Statesmen has been criticised by leading female UK politicians over its latest 'motherhood trap' cover, which also asks the question: "Why are so many successful women are childless?"
SNP leader Nicola Sturgeon, who was among those prominent women featured in the illustration has attacked the Labour-leaning publication for highlighting the fact that she does not have children.

UK home secretary Theresa May, Labour leadership candidate Liz Kendall and German chancellor Angela Merkel are also featured on the cover.
The relating article, written by deputy editor Helen Lewis, highlights the problem of gender inequality - a point which the author claims some commentators appear to have missed.
@helenlewis of course. Article not available yet - my tweet is about the cringeworthy cover, not your writing
