NASA says its New Horizons mission has found evidence of exotic ices flowing across Pluto’s surface.

New images released this evening show signs of recent geologic activity - something the space agency says scientists hoped to find but didn't expect.

The latest information shows sheets of ice which have moved on the dwarf planet, and could still be moving similar to those on Earth.

Scientists are using colour editing technology to manipulate the images in the hopes of finding out more detail about the surface of Pluto.
