Twenty new jobs are to come on-stream in Carlow.
Protection services company Netwatch is opening a new office in New York, which will result in the new Irish roles, as well as 10 new jobs in the US.
The company says for every 50 contracts won in the US, they create new jobs in Carlow - as all monitoring is done by personnel based there.
Recruitment for the new positions - which will mainly technical roles based in the Carlow communications hub - has already begun.
Netwatch says the New York office will solidify the company in the US market and help its expansion on the east coast.
It comes on the same day that 90 new jobs are announced across 4 IT companies in Dublin.
And yesterday 100 new jobs were announced for social shopping network Phlok.
