The Navy is providing assistance to a stricken ship off the west coast.
The MV Hellesport Charger is reported to have lost main engine power 100 nautical miles west of Loop Head in Co. Clare.
However it is not in any immediate danger, the Defence Forces has said.
The LÉ Aisling reached the MV in the early hours of the morning and the vessels are currently on-route to the Shannon estuary.
