A leading Muslim cleric is calling for a change in how we approach multiculturalism in Ireland.
The call comes ahead of the first pre-election debate organised by a Muslim group here.
The gathering in the Clayton Hotel, Leopardstown aims to promote greater links between communities.
Organisers say representatives of Muslims from various occupations - medical doctors, nurses and entrepreneurs - resident in Ireland for many years will meet with a senior ministers, TDs and political candidates.
This will be followed by a panel session, where Muslims will put questions to politicians.
Representatives of big Islamic organisations have also been invited to the meeting.
Dr Ali Selim of the Islamic Cultural Centre of Ireland says it is about partnership and not integration.
