A murder investigation is underway after a man was stabbed to death at a flat in north Dublin.
Two men were arrested and remain in garda custody this morning.
The capital'Â’s latest murder happened just after 5pm yesterday.
It'Â’s believed a number of people were drinking at an apartment at Ballybough House, Dublin 1, when a fight broke out.
The male victim (56), was stabbed during the course of that fight and he was rushed to the Mater hospital, where he died a few hours later.
Two men, aged 53 and 46, were arrested last night and theyÂ’'re being held at Mountjoy garda station.
The scene at Ballybough House was sealed off following the attack and forensic experts are due to continue their examination today.
Gardaí will also begin house-to-house enquiries later. They'Â’re appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
Local Councillor Nial Ring says it's very sad news:
