Charges of attempted murder against a nine month old baby in Pakistan have been dropped.

The judge in the case said he dropped the charges after the police involved in the case, in the city of Lahore, said they were dropping the charges.

The infant was in court last Friday following clashes between residents of his neighbourhood and police.

Musa Khan and his adult relatives were charged with planning a murder, threatening police and interfering in state affairs.

His grandfather and three other family members still face charges.
