Pre-tax profits at Brendan O’ Carroll’s movie firm jumped nearly 300 percent to €580,000 in the year to last August.
The increased profitability of Boc Pix Ltd, coincided with the success last year of Mrs Brown’s Boys: D’Movie, which generated gross box office receipts in Ireland and the UK of €20.5m.
Accounts show that the company paid corporation tax of €72,361 and recorded a post-tax profit of €506,525.
Mrs Brown’s Boys: D’Movie was the top-grossing Irish film of 2014, taking €3.8m at the box office. In its opening weekend alone the film made £4.3m (€6m) across the UK and Ireland.
Larry Howard, the CEO of Xtra-Vision revealed that the DVD release of the film was the company's fastest-selling DVD.
The firm’s revenues are not disclosed, but sales did top €2m, while administrative expenses amounted to €175,347 and distribution costs came to €156,240.
