Gardaí are appealing for witnesses after a man has been hospitalised following a motorcycle crash in Wicklow. 

The single-vehicle crash happened on the Dublin Road, Arklow, at 12.30am on Saturday, December 30th. 

The motorcycle struck the pavement kerb and the driver and passenger fell. 

The driver, a man in his 50s, was brought to St Vincent’s Hospital, where he is in serious condition. 

The passenger, a woman in her 40s, was also brought to St Vincent’s Hospital where she is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries. 

The road is currently closed for technical examination by Forensic Collision Investigators. Local diversions are in place. 

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this incident to come forward.      

They are particularly interested in talking to anyone who was at exit 20 from the M11 southbound and may have dashcam footage.
