A motorcyclist in his late teens is in hospital in serious condition following a crash with a car in Cork last night. 

The crash happened on Courtown Drive in Cork City at 9pm last night. 

The motorcyclist was taken to Cork University Hospital with serious injuries, while no other injuries were reported. 

Courtown Drive is currently closed for a technical examination. Local diversions are in place. 

Gardaí in Cork are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward. 

They are particularly interested in people with dash-cam footage who were driving in the area at the time.
