A motorcyclist has died following a crash in Co Meath yesterday.

It happened at Balrath Cross, Kells at around 4:10pm yesterday afternoon.

A motorcycle and a tractor were involved in the crash.

The 26-year-old motorcyclist was seriously injured, and he was taken to James Connolly Memorial Hospital.

He passed away in the early hours of this morning.

The driver of the tractor - a 19-year-old man - was not injured.

A Garda forensic team has carried out an examination at the scene, and the road has now reopened.
