Motorcyclist dies after crash in Co Kilkenny

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses after a man died in a crash in Co Kilkenny.

The alarm was raised at approximately 8.45pm on Sunday when a motorcycle and a car collided on the N10 at Templemartin.

The motorcyclist, a 32-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The people in the car were taken to St Luke's Hospital, Kilkenny with non-life threatening injuries.

The local coroner has been notified and the man has since been removed to the mortuary at University Hospital Waterford.

A post-mortem examination will be carried out.

A full examination of the crash site and vehicles involved is being carried out by Garda Forensic Collison Investigators.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have information regarding the collision, particularly any road users with camera footage who were travelling on the N10 at the time, to contact Kilkenny Garda Station on 056-7775-000, the Garda Confidential Line at 1800-666-111 or any Garda station.
