A motorcyclist has died following a crash in County Wicklow.

It happened at Turlough Hill at around 12.30 pm today.

Gardaí were called to the incident and the motorcyclist, a man in his 50s, was pronounced dead.

The road was closed to allow for a Garda technical exam but has since reopened.

The local coroner has been notified and a post-mortem exam will be carried out on the man’s body.

Gardaí are asking for any witnesses to come forward, particularly those with dash cam who were travelling in the area at the time.
