Today will be very wet and windy at first, but the heaviest of the rain will clear eastwards early in the morning.

It will stay rather cloudy and misty in many parts until afternoon with scattered outbreaks of light rain, low cloud and fog on hills and some coasts.

Generally brightening up through the afternoon and evening with some sunny breaks developing but scattered showers also.

Rather cloudy tonight with some showers, mainly in western and northern areas, but dry in many other parts with some clear spells.
