A man is due in court in connection with a drug seizure in County Meath after drugs worth around €690,000 were found following the search of a house on Tailteann Drive in Navan on Friday night.

Herbal cannabis, ecstasy tablets, cocaine and diamorphine as well as a large amount of suspected mixing agent and other paraphernalia were found.

Gardai have confirmed a man in his 50s is due to appear before a special sitting of Navan District Court this afternoon, charged in relation to the investigation.

A woman in her 30s was released without charge yesterday evening and a file will now be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.

An Ethiopian Airlines plane with 157 people on board has crashed on its way to Nairobi in Kenya, with multiple deaths reported. 
The Boeing 737, carrying 149 passengers and eight crew members, was on a regular scheduled flight when it came down, according to the Ethiopian prime minister's office.

A spokesman for the airline confirmed the plane had crashed after leaving Ethiopia's capital, Addis Ababa.
