The Taoiseach and Justice Minister are to be briefed on the investigation into Keane Mulready-Woods' murder when they visit Drogheda today.

The teenager's partial remains were found in north Dublin this week, and gardaí are seeking help in tracking the movements of a car.

They are looking for information on a blue Volvo V40 which was stolen from Sandymount in Dublin on December 15th.

A man in his 20s has died after being stabbed in Cork.

The assault happened on Bandon Road last night.

The man was brought to Cork University Hospital, where he died a short time later.

Crime and health look set to be the issues that dominate on day three of the general election campaign.

The Taoiseach will be in Louth, Fianna Fáil's Micheál Martin campaigns in Wexford, while Sinn Féin will be in Wicklow.

Labour leader Brendan Howlin also visits Drogheda today, to talk about his plans for the future of work in Ireland.

More than 191,000 penalty point notices were issued to drivers last year.

It's an increase of over 14,000 on 2018 figures.

The figures have been released by the Department of Transport under the Freedom of Information Act.

The GPO is set to be transformed into a banquet hall tonight to host a dinner for homeless people.

The event is being run by Dublin Lion's Club alongside An Post, the Defence Forces and gardaí.

It's the 60th anniversary of the party, with 250 guests expected.
