Enda Kenny says the offer for Fianna Fail and independent TDs to enter into a Partnership Government with Fine Gael, is still on the table.

Last night, the caretaker Taoiseach once again appealed to Micheál Martin to take part in negotiations to form a partnership government.

The caretaker Tasoiseach also called for an end to Civil War politics.

On Thursday, the leaders of the two biggest parties held a brief meeting, before the Fianna Fáil parliamentary party resolutely rejected Fine Gael's proposition.

But speaking to Ocean FM last night, Mr Kenny reiterated his belief that a Partnership Government presents the most stable option.

Belgian prosecutors have confirmed they have arrested one of the most wanted men in Europe - who's suspected of involvement in the Paris and Brussels terror attacks.

Mohamed Abrini was picked up in the Belgian capital yesterday.

Investigators are looking into whether the 31-year-old is also the so-called "man in the hat", seen at Brussels Airport just before the attacks last month.

Three men are being questioned at Nenagh Garda Station following the seizure of an estimated €240,000 worth of herbal cannabis yesterday.

A package containing 7 kilos of the drug, believed to be worth €140,000 and to have originated in Spain, was found at an address in Roscrea.

Three Lithuanian males, one in his late teens and two in their mid 20s, were arrested at the scene.

A second package containing 5 kilos of herbal cannabis, thought to be worth €100,000, was seized during a follow-up search at another address in Roscrea.

The seizures were a joint operation by Revenue's Customs Service, the Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau, along with the Roscrea Divisional Drugs Unit.

Gardaí are investigating a shooting in north Dublin yesterday evening.

Shots were fired in the car park of the food outlets near the Charlestown Shopping Centre in Finglas at 6:15pm.

No one was injured in the incident.

Anyone who saw anything unusual in and around the shopping centre, or the carpark of the food outlets on Friday evening, is being asked to contact Finglas Garda Station.
