David Drumm is due to make his first appearance before Dublin Circuit Criminal Court this morning after being sent forward for trial.
Last month, Dublin District Court approved a €150,000 bail package for Mr Drumm following his extradition from Boston.
The DPP directed he be tried before judge and jury on 33 charges, which include forgery, false accounting and conspiracy to defraud.

A 28-year-old man will appear in court in Derry this morning charged with the sectarian murder of a civil servant in Northern Ireland in 2006.
Paul McCauley was beaten by loyalists on Chapel Road in Derry in July 2006. He died last June in a care facility, nine years after the attack.
The man charged with his murder is also expected to face charges of grievous bodily harm and attempted grievous bodily harm.
