The depth of the financial issues facing the FAI will be revealed when the association publishes its accounts this morning.

The announcement was yesterday delayed following what has been a turbulent week for the association.

Sponsor Three Ireland announced on Wednesday that it would not be extending its current deal; while on Monday, John Foley turned down the role of interim CEO on the day he was supposed to take it up.

Donations can be made online, or you can buy a gift for good – a pyjama pack, a hygiene pack or a good night sleep pack, containing a cosy duvet and pillow for a child in need.

Government Ministers will hold a special cabinet meeting in County Meath today.

The meeting in Trim will focus on the growing economy and resources needed for housing, healthcare and rural development.

The Future Jobs Ireland project will also be high on the agenda at the OPW's headquarters in the town.

It's not the first time these current government ministers have met outside of Dublin – they went to Glencolmcille in Donegal in July.
