Organisers confirmed that at least 90,000 people attended the 10th annual Bray Air Display this afternoon.

The show of 30 aircraft, which includes the Irish Air Corps and the Swiss Air Force Aerobatic team, took to the skies over the Co. Wicklow seaside town.

The event is part of the Bray Summerfest and supported by the Irish Aviation Authority.

Gerry and Harry Humphreys, a father and son duo from Co Limerick, were also performing during this year's show. 21-year-old Harry made his air show debut, while Gerry appeared for the 10th time at Bray.

Colin Curran was part of the team from the Irish Parachute Club, who jumped out of a helicopter at a height of 5 thousand feet.

He explains what it was like to open the air show this afternoon:

There were even more celebrations for one particular couple, who are now engaged to be married.

With a resounding yes, Ciara Kavanagh, a beauty therapist from Arklow. Co. Wicklow accepted Noel Canavan’s airborne marriage proposal.

To toast the moment, Martina McDermott, Head of Marketing at CityJet presented the couple with flight tickets to Paris and a bottle of champagne.
