However cloud will quickly increase with scattered outbreaks of rain moving down from the northwest; more persistent rain will follow from the west later in the afternoon and evening, affecting all areas.
Highest temperatures of 8 to 11 degrees Celsius, in freshening southwesterly winds; coolest across Ulster and north Leinster.

Rain clearing southeastwards early tonight with clear spells developing. However some heavy showers will begin to move down from the northwest later in the night, mainly affecting west Connacht and Ulster.
Lowest temperatures 3 to 7 degrees Celsius, coolest across east Leinster. Westerly winds will freshen again towards morning, veering northwesterly.
