Many areas dry and bright at first this morning, but all parts will become wet and windy for a time today as rain in the southwest gradually extends northeastwards over the country.
Brighter intervals and showers will follow from the southwest later – but some of those showers will be heavy, with a risk of thunder.

Fresh to strong and gusty southeast winds will veer southerly and moderate.
TONIGHT
Further showers or longer spells of rain tonight, with an ongoing threat of heavy and thundery bursts.
However, some drier, clearer intervals will also occur.
Lows of 10C to 13C degrees in light or moderate southerly breezes.
Patches of mist and fog will form towards dawn.
