Today will be dry and bright, with early mist or fog lifting quickly, but a few patches likely lingering for a time in some coastal areas, especially the southeast.

It will be rather cloudy in places at first, but cloud will break allowing good sunny spells to develop.

Expect it to be warm by early afternoon, with top temperatures of 19 to 23 degrees, best in the western half of the country.

Winds will be moderate southeasterly, but fresh at times along the southwest and west coasts.

Tonight will be very mild, humid and close overnight with some patchy mist and fog and overnight lows of 12 to 15 degrees.
