The European Medicines Agency will not be issuing a decision on the Moderna coronavirus vaccine today.
The EU agency brought forward its meeting on the vaccine to this evening amid pressure from EU countries tackling record virus figures.
That lead to reports the vaccine could be approved as early as this evening.
In a statement however, an EMA spokesperson said the discussion was not concluded today and no announcement would be made.
The discussion will continue on Wednesday.
Should it win approval, the Moderna vaccine would be the second to be released in the EU after the EMA approved the Pfizer jab before Christmas.
The Moderna vaccine was found to be 94.1% effective in a clinical trial of around 30,400 people.
