While Adele has reached the levels of fame that few even dare to dream of, the final sign of sure-sign infamy is when you get covered by The Muppets.

In a new promo for their latest incarnation on American station ABC, in which Miss Piggy and Kermit are (gasp!) not a couple anymore, we see Miss Piggy channeling the British songstress and completely nailing the aesthetic of the "Hello" video, while also adding a few artistic flourishes, such as getting a face-full of leaves and throwing a toaster at her green ex.

For anyone who has forgotten at just how good The Muppets are at parody, remind yourselves of their fake trailers for The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo (">here) or The Green Lantern (">here) amongst others.

The spot-on Adele impersonation came just a few days after Adele herself joined forces with Graham Norton to pull a prank on a group of Adele impersonators, by dressing Adele up as an Adele impersonator!
