A government minister says the Taoiseach Enda Kenny does not have questions to answer over the appointment of his neighbour and local party colleague to a state board.
Darragh Loftus was given the job with Solas, after seconding the nomination of Mr Kenny for the last general election.
He was also the head of a local Young Fine Gael organisation.
Minister of State at the Department of Transport, Michael Ring, feels that issue is now over - and he does not think the appointment of Mr Loftus is an example of cronyism.
But speaking in the Dail this morning, Mr Kenny reacted furiously to the coverage of Mr Loftus' role.
