The Arts and Heritage Minister has marked the International Commemoration of the Great Irish Famine at a ceremony in Australia overnight.

Jimmy Deenihan led ceremonies at Hyde Park Barracks in Sydney - where he launched the Atlas of the Great Famine and spoke about famine in the developing world.

The Minister has also taken part in a business networking breakfast at the Irish Consulate - in an effort to bring new business to Ireland.
