The funeral of Michael Coleman who died from a suspected drugs overdose in Kinsale at the weekend is to take place in Dungarvan in Co. Waterford this morning.
No funeral arrangements have been finalised for Liam Coffey who was found dead with his friend on Sunday morning.
Gardaí have arrested 4 people as part of their investigation into the supply of drugs to the 2 young men.
All of those 4 have been released without charge.
Files are now being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).
Yesterday the Health Service Executive (HSE) issued a warning about a drug known as ‘Mandy’ which Gardaí believe may have been a factor in the deaths.
It is suspected that the friends may have consumed a brown ecstasy-containing powder which could have been a factor in their deaths.
Gardaí have confirmed that a product containing MDMA or ecstasy and another substance PMMA may have led to their sudden deaths.
That prompted the HSE to take the unusual step yesterday of cautioning drug users against taking a brown powder substance in the Cork area.
