A man in his 30s has died in a car crash in Co Meath.

It happened at Kellystown in Slane in the early hours of this morning.

The car he was driving left the road and hit a tree. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The stretch of road where it happened is currently closed pending a technical exam by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.

Diversions are in place.
