Recently McDonald's has been undertaking a number of initiatives to try and change the public perception of the brand, most of which has revolved around changing the offerings on their menu.
They've looked to move away from the cheap and cheerful image by experimenting with new items and letting people build their own burgers using a whole range of different ingredients. They look as though they're going to be continuing that trend also with their new take on breakfast, which has been spotted in a Brisbane suburb in Australia.

According to BurgerBusiness.com, the new "gourmet" breakfast offerings include avocado smash served on sourdough toast with crumbled feta, a bacon and egg roll served on a brioche bun with spinach, or Belgian waffles with yogurt and berries.
The main offering on the menu is the Cafe Breakfast, which contains a few slices of sourdough toast, two types of bacon, chipolata sausages, scrambled eggs, wilted spinach, grilled tomatoes and hash browns.
