Mary Lou McDonald has said she will not sit by and let the Tanaiste Joan Burton slur her or her party.
The Sinn Féin deputy leader says the behaviour of Ms Burton in the Dail yesterday was "beyond the pale".
Yesterday, Sinn Féin refused to allow Dail business to continue unless Ms Burton withdrew comments made about a sex abuser's Republican background.
Ms Burton said abuser Domhnall Ó Lubhlaí, a former Gaeltacht teacher, had "significant" links to Republicans and Sinn Féin.
The Dail was suspended three times in a row over the issue.
Sinn Féin has said it will make a complaint to the Dáil committee on Procedures and Privileges.
Speaking to Newstalk Breakfast, Ms McDonald said the behaviour of Ms Burton - and Ceann Comhairle Seán Barrett - was unacceptable.
