The Taoiseach has said a pathway to peace now exists for Ukraine.
Yesterday, Ukraine announced it would support a 30-day ceasefire proposal backed by the United States.
"During today’s talks, the US side proposed taking an even bigger first step - a 30-day full interim ceasefire," President Zelenskyy tweeted.
"Not only stopping missile, drone and bomb attacks, not only in the Black Sea - but also along the entire front line."
US President Donald Trump has said he hopes Russia will also sign up to the agreement.
"It takes two to tango, as they say," he said.
"Hopefully, he'll also agree and I really think that would be 75% of the way."

Speaking from the US ahead of his visit to the White House for St Patrick’s Day, Micheál Martin said a lasting, durable and fair peace in Ukraine is something everybody desires.

Tánaiste Simon Harris also backed the plan, describing it as “an important step towards a lasting and just peace”.
“A ceasefire could provide the space for meaningful engagement on an enduring, just peace,” he added.
