A man in his 30s has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man's body was found by Gardaí in Rialto, Dublin. 

Gardaí were called to a home  in Herberton Park yesterday afternoon at around 3 where they found the body of the deceased, who was in his 60s.

He was pronounced dead and Gardaí noticed he had sustained a number of injuries, leading them to conclude he died violently.

The Garda Technical Bureau has carried out an examination of the house and a post-mortem is expected to take place today.

Gardaí say the results will determine the course of their investigation.
