A man's body has been found at a recycling facility in Dublin. Gardai say it was discovered by staff this morning in the west of the city and a full investigation is now underway.

The grim find was made by workers at a recycling facility on the Ballymount Road in Ballymount. They were unloading a waste truck just before 9am when they came across the body.

The alarm was raised and the scene has since been sealed off to allow for a technical examination to be carried out.

The body of the man, who is said to be in his 30s, is still at the scene and the Office of the State Patholgist has been notified.

Gardai are now trying to identify the man and say it is too early to establish exactly how he died.
