A 22-year-old man has been charged with the murder of a man stabbed to death on Dublin's Northside yesterday.

Officers were called to the carpark of an apartment complex in Santry at around 3 o'clock in the afternoon - where they found 29 year old Edward Fitzgerald critically injured.

He was taken to Beaumont Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Today William Gilsenan,  from the The Green, Larch Hill in Santry, was charged with his death at a special sitting of Dublin District Court.
