A man made the most unlikely acquaintance on a recent flight, when he found himself seated beside his exact look-alike.
Neil Douglas took his seat to find his double Robert Stirling, from London, next to him on the flight from Stansted to Shannon Airport on Thursday evening.
Douglas, a wedding photographer from Glasgow, took a picture of the momentous occasion and uploaded it to Twitter.
Both men sport eerily-similar ginger beard/mustache combinations, and every passenger on the plane was keen to point it out.
Speaking to The Daily Mail, Mr Douglas said: 'I asked him to move and when the guy looked up, I thought: "Holy s***, he looks like me."
"We had a big laugh about it – everyone had a laugh. We took a selfie and that was it.
"I later checked into my hotel in Galway to find my doppelganger checking into the same hotel ahead of me. Total weirdness."
Both men later shared a pint on Store Street to celebrate this rare glitch in the matrix.
