A 48-year-old man arrested in connection with the aggravated burglary of an elderly woman's home in Donegal has been released without charge.
96-year-old Greta Lilly was threatened and assaulted when a man entered her home in Ardarvan, Buncrana in the early hours of Saturday.
Gardai detained a man as part of the investigation on Tuesday night.
However he was released last night.
A file will now be prepared for the the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).
Reward offered
Earlier this week a businessman offered a €5,000 reward for anyone who can provide information leading to the prosecution of those who attacked the 96-year-old.
George McLaughlin, of McLaughlin Motor Factors in Buncrana said he was disgusted by the aggrevated burglary which took place last Friday night.
A man broke into her home in Aghilly punched her in the ribs, gagged her and stole a substantial amount of cash which it is understood she had been saving to buy new windows for her home.
