A Dublin man has been jailed for 15 years for his part in a 2005 tiger kidnapping worth almost €2.3 million.

'Securicor' van driver Paul Richardson handed over the cash after his wife and two sons were taken from their home in Raheny and held captive overnight back in 2005.

Jason Kavanagh (39) of Corduff Avenue in Blanchardstown was convicted on charges of robbery and false imprisonment and was sentenced today.

Speaking outside court, Mr. Richardson told reporters he is still haunted by what happened to him.
