A man has died and a second man is in a serious condition following two separate road incidents within hours of each other.

The first incident took place at 7pm yesterday when a 57-year-old man died when he fell from a tractor in Co Kerry.

The man, who was a passenger, lost his life in Gortatlea, Mastergeehy.

Meanwhile, another man is in a serious condition following a single vehicle crash in Co Kildare.

It happened on the the Athy to Courtown Rd at around 10pm.

Emergency services attended the scene and the man was taken to Portlaoise General Hospital where he's being treated for serious injuries.
