A man in his 60s has been killed in a road crash in County Offaly.

He died when the car he was driving collided with a truck on the N62 near Cloghan at a quarter part four this afternoon.

The driver of the truck was not injured

The road is closed for a forensic examination and diversions are in place.

This marks the 115th road fatality in 2016 so far, and the 7th for the month of August.
