A man in his 20s has been killed in a stabbing in Dublin this afternoon.
He is being detained at Ballymun Garda Station where he can be questioned for up to 24 hours.
Gardai responding to a 999 call found a seriously injured man in the car park of an apartment block at Larch Hill in Santry at around 3 this afternoon.
He was bleeding heavily and taken to Beaumont hospital where he was pronounced dead.
A man was arrested a short time later and taken to Ballymun Garda Station where he can be held for questioning for a total of 24 hours.
It's believed the victim, who was in his 20s, was stabbed several times in the legs after a fight broke out over a small drugs debt.
The scene has been cordoned off for a technical examination and the Office of the State Pathologist has been notified.
Gardai are appealing for witnesses or anyone who has any information that could help with their investigation to come forward.
