A man has appeared in court charged with possession of a gun made from steel piping.
19-year-old Gordon Ryan of Greenfileds, Rosbrien in Limerick was charged with having the crude shotgun in suspicious circumstances on June 23rd.
According to gardai the weapon was made from "steel piping designed to function as a 12-gauge shotgun".

Mr. Ryan was arrested last Sunday after a man sustained around 20 pellet wounds to his face and body. He was remanded in custody to appear in court again on July 2nd.
