A man is due in court shortly to be charged in relation to alleged serious investment fraud.
The 50-year-old was arrested in Dublin this morning.
He is due to appear at the Courts of Criminal Justice later.
Detectives from the Garda Bureau of Fraud Investigation arrested him as part of an on-going major investigation into allegations of deception by a number of investors.
Detectives also searched a house in the Monkstown area as part of the investigation.
