A man is due in court in Cork charged with the manslaughter of a Dublin man in Cork city last year.

Keith Flanagan (36), who was originally from Luttrell Park in Carpenterstown, died in hospital after he was assaulted at Patrick's Quay in the city on October 3rd last year.

Another man (28) has been arrested by gardaí in Mayfield in connection with his death.

He is due before Cork District Court later charged with manslaughter.
