A Lithuanian man, 26, charged with the killings of a Mother and her daughter in Co. Kerry - is now facing a double murder charge.
Aurimas Andruska - with an address at 7 Ardmoniel Heights in Killorglin - has already been charged with the murder of Jolanta Lubiene, 27.
A charge of the manslaughter of her daughter Enrika,8, was withdrawn and upgraded to murder at Killarney District Court this morning.
Their bodies were discovered at their home in Langford Downs in Killorglin on the evening of June 16th.
The accused man has been remanded in custody to appear at Tralee District Court next Tuesday - July 9th.
Both victims were stabbed to death.
Aurimas Andruska of 7 Ardmoniel Heights, appear before Killarney District Court for the second time this morning, after he attended a special sitting of Killarney District Court on Friday evening.
Detective Sergeant John Kelly gave evidence of arrest at that point, and the court heard that when he was charged with the murder of Jolanta Lubiene, Mr Andruska replied - "I didn't kill, I can only tell."
He was also charged with the unlawful killing of Enrika Lubyte, to which he replied - "I will tell you exactly the same."
Legal aid was granted to solicitor Peter Malone.
He was the second suspect to be questioned over the killings. The first, a man in his 40s, was questioned and also released without charge (pending a file for the DPP) last week. He was being held on suspicion of withholding information.
Last movements
Jolanta Lubiene was last seen on Langford Street, Killorglin at 1.50pm Saturday June 15th walking towards her home at Langford Downs - a 15 minute walk from Killorglin. Her body, and that of her daughter, were discovered at their home the following day, by a family friend.
