A man has died after a single-vehicle crash in Co Kilkenny.
It happened on the R448 in Castlecolumb shortly after 4pm today.
The driver, who was aged in his 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
His body was later removed to the mortuary at Waterford University Hospital, where a post mortem will take place in due course.
A technical examination will be carried out by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators on Friday morning.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this collision to contact them.
Any road users who may have camera footage, including dash-cam, and who were travelling in the area at the time are asked to make this footage available to Gardaí.
