A man has died in a farming accident in County Cork. It is understood the farmer aged 37 died yesterday evening after being overcome by fumes from a slurry tank near Bantry.
The incident happened at 5.30 yesterday evening at the farm in Cahermuckee.
The man fell into the slurry tank and it appears he was overcome by fumes.

His father tried unsuccessfully to save him.
The alarm was raised and he was taken to Cork University Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The Health and Safety Authority will carry out an investigation and the scene has been preserved by Gardai.
